(NLDO)- American scientists shocked the world when they announced that the BPA chemical that people are exposed to when drinking water from plastic bottles can cause hormonal disorders so severe that they can "bend genders".
Dr. Particia Hunt from Washington State University (USA) has just announced the shocking results that she and her colleagues have demonstrated in a new study: plastic bottles that are considered “safe” according to the standards of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a set of standards that the world considers the most strict and standard, can still cause cancer, infertility and “gender bending” in humans.

According to the research team, the FDA standard is still up to 44 times higher than the actual safe level for BPA, chemistry in plastic can leach into bottled water. BPA is known to be a serious endocrine disruptor in humans.
The analysis results showed that even in bottles that were considered to contain BPA at doses below the “possibly toxic” level, the amount of BPA was still enough to interfere with and damage the production of sperm, eggs, and male and female chromosomes. Therefore, BPA is called “chemistry gender bending”.
BPA's full name is Bisphenol A. When this chemical enters the body, it reacts with estrogen and thyroid hormone receptors, disrupting the human endocrine system. It is associated with a series of health problems such as infertility, autism, hyperactivity - lack of concentration, obesity, type 2 diabetes, premature birth, early puberty, cancer, intestinal microflora disorders... BPA appears in the lining of food containers, plastic water bottles...
