Application

Toluene is used in large quantities in the paint industry. Toluene is used in the production of synthetic resins. Toluene is also used as a thinner and as an ingredient in cleaning products.
In Adhesives: Because Toluene has strong dissolving ability, it is used in the production of adhesives and similar products, used in rubber adhesives, rubber cement.
Fuel Additive: Toluene is used as an octane improver for gasoline, and as a fuel additive carrier. Typically, adding only a relatively small amount of Toluene to gasoline will significantly increase the octane rating of the fuel.
