The estimated chemical requirements for the operation of the reactor are given here for reference only. The chemical dosage depends on the wastewater quality and should be reviewed and adjusted to achieve the best treatment results.
Caustic soda (NaOH)
The alkali (caustic soda flakes) used here is in its pure form for industrial use. In this project, caustic soda is used to neutralize and raise the pH of wastewater, mainly in the flotation tank.
Caustic soda tank: specialized composite tank with corrosion resistance.
Suitable caustic soda concentration for neutralizing wastewater is from 50 ppm.
Dosage of caustic soda needed: 50 ppm x 700m3 = 35 kg/day and night.
Note: Use only when there is a change in pH.

50% caustic soda solution
+ PAC alum
The alum used in this case is PAC (Poly Aluminum Chloride) in yellow powder or liquid form, highly soluble (MSDS).
Suitable alum concentration for coagulation reaction is about 250 ppm.
Alum dosage needed: 250 mg/lx 700 m3 = 175 kg/day and night.
Alum concentration should be about 10%.

PAC solution storage area
+ Javen
Dissolve the required amount of chemicals completely in 10 liters of clean water, mix only the amount needed and use as soon as possible after mixing. It is best to mix and use only on the same day, do not mix in advance for storage. The diluted chlorine disinfectant solution should be stored in a cool place.

10% javen solution
+ Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4) 98%
In this treatment plant, sulfuric acid is used to neutralize and lower the pH of dye wastewater from a value of 9-11 to about 7-8, mainly in the intermediate tank.
The amount of acid needed is about 21 kg/day and night.
Acid tanks: specialized composite tanks that can withstand corrosion.
Suitable acid concentration for neutralizing wastewater is about 30 ppm.
The acid concentration required for simple dilution is usually 10%.
